Junior developer, Linux tinkerer, and computer science student.

Grand Rapids, Michigan. Open to software and IT roles.

About

I studied computer science at Western Michigan and spent a year building and maintaining client sites at a marketing agency in Kalamazoo. Since then most of my learning has come from running my own Linux server, writing the small services that keep it useful, and fixing things when they break.

Right now I work maintenance full time, which has made me good at diagnosing systems I did not build. I am looking to move back into software or IT support while I finish my degree.

Work I have built

astra

Self-hosted home server, running continuously

A headless Debian server I built on a refurbished laptop and administer entirely over SSH. It is not a demo. It is the infrastructure I actually use every day.

  • Containerized services sitting behind an Nginx reverse proxy.
  • Private access from any of my devices over Tailscale with MagicDNS.
  • A Flask API I wrote that reports live system stats, feeding a custom dashboard front end.
  • Filebrowser for remote file access, plus my own backups, updates, and monitoring.

Debian, Docker, Nginx, Tailscale, Flask, Python, JavaScript

Klipper printer conversion

Ender 3 Pro, completed

Replaced the stock firmware on a 3D printer with Klipper and Mainsail, wrote and tuned the configuration by hand, and added a BLTouch probe on an SKR Mini E3 v2.0 control board.
